What's trending in data, tech and AI

The board at the top of this page is the latest full day (UTC), ranked by trend score: the names that drew the most attention on Hacker News, Reddit, GitHub, Hugging Face, Product Hunt, arXiv and Google Trends compared with their own usual level. Open any term for its history and the links behind it.

For each source, a term's share of that day's engagement (points, comments, stars, upvotes, rank) and of its items; the shares are weighted by source and summed, then compared with the term's own average over the previous 14 days. Size and change both count, so an always-discussed company only leads on a day something happens. The full method is on the Method page.

The Risers page compares each term's summed score over the last seven days with the seven before, and the AI products and tools category page ranks just that category.

Search for it (press / or Cmd K). Its page shows the daily score line, the first day it ranked, its peak and every day it made the top 20, with the posts, repositories and papers that carried it.

LinkedIn has no public API for posts or trends, and scraping it breaks its terms. Hotlist uses only sources that publish their data openly.

Every term page has Suggest a correction: rename it, change its category, merge it into another term or mark it as not a term. Each suggestion is reviewed before anything changes.
